Tarrant County Public Health Reports Two COVID-19 Deaths

Jan. 5, 2022 - (Tarrant County) - Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) today reports 11 COVID-19 deaths. The deceased include a woman from Fort Worth exceeding 90, a man from Hurst in his 80s, two men from Fort Worth in their 80s, a man from Fort Worth in his 70s, a woman from Fort Worth in her 70s, three women from Fort Worth in their 60s, a man from Bedford in his 50s and a man from Fort Worth in his 40s. Nine had underlying health conditions.

Tarrant County now has 5,049 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 virus and 371,314 people have recovered.

COVID-19 causes respiratory illness with cough, fever and shortness of breath and may lead to bronchitis and severe pneumonia.
