Presidentially Declared Disaster Information for HTC properties during the Compliance Period
Revenue Procedure 2014-49 provides relief to Housing Tax credit (HTC) properties impacted by presidentially declared disasters from carryover through the compliance period. The Revenue procedure is on TDHCA's website.
If your property is in service and has been damaged by this disaster, please inform TDHCA within 30 days through the use of the "Notice of Property Damage from Texas Severe Winter Storms (DR-4586)" form, which is available on the TCHCA website. The form should be uploaded to your CMTS account to the attention of Cherie Shearfield.
If you are an HTC property and willing to provide emergency housing for displaced individuals, please complete the "Request to Provide Emergency Housing" form which can be found on the TDHCA website.
Displaced individuals must be displaced from their principal residence as a result of the disaster, and their principal residence must have been located in a major disaster area designated as eligible for Individual Assistance by FEMA. For a list of counties eligible for Individual Assistance, please visit the FEMA website.
We urge all owners to update their Unit Status Report to ensure accurate and reliable information about housing inventory. In addition, please review Revenue Procedure 2014-49 carefully to avoid noncompliance.
If you are in need of any other assistance related to this disaster, please contact Wendy Quackenbush, Director of Compliance Monitoring, at 512-305-8860 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
