Tarrant County Archives is an integral part of our local community. Not only does the Tarrant County Archivist regularly addresses Tarrant County groups interested in preserving local history (see Talks), the Archivist also frequently advises local historical societies, museums, businesses, and non-profits as well as other institutions and individuals in Tarrant County on how to best preserve their past.
Further, the Tarrant County Archivist welcomes both groups and individuals to the Archives for tours. If you or your group is interested in a tour or talk, simply call the Archivist to arrange a time. The Archives also offers opportunities for those interested in the Archives profession and those devoted to the preservation of our local past to become involved through internships and volunteer positions. Devoted members of the community participate by performing activities ranging from transcription of diaries to categorizing newspaper clippings for our subject and biographical files. If you would like to learn more, simply call the Archivist.
