The Tarrant County Administrator is appointed by the Commissioners Court. The Administrator and his staff oversee and implement the directives of the Commissioners Court.
The Administrator's staff consists of the Assistant County Administrator, the Assistant County Administrator for Governmental Affairs, Economic Development Coordinator, Criminal Justice Coordinator, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Public Information Officer, Digital Media Manager, Strategic Initiatives Manager, Grants Coordinator, Emergency Management Officer and the HIV Administrative Agency.
The Administrator serves as the County's Chief Administrative Officer and supervises various county departments including: Budget and Risk Management, Community Development and Housing, Public Health, Texas AgriLife Extension, Resource Connection, Information Technology, Facilities Management, Fire Marshal, Human Resources, Human Services, Medical Examiner, the Law Library, and Transportation.
