Accessibility Statement

Inclusive Design

Tarrant County recognizes the needs of all persons to use the Tarrant County web site and seeks to develop with inclusive design in mind. Inclusive design aims to remove the barriers that create undue effort and separation. It enables everyone to participate equally, confidently and independently in everyday activities. If we don’t intentionally include the risk is to unintentionally exclude.

Our Goals

The County strives to create and maintain web pages and services that meet Levels A and AA as set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) as well as the Rehabilitation Act of 1998, Section 508.

While we are committed to making our web site accessible to all users, we recognize that not all pages may be compliant. Tarrant County uses quality assurance software to scan the website daily to improve compliance and ease of use. In this way, we seek to serve the widest possible audience.
