Entertainment Reporter and Critic Bobbie Wygant has spent all 64 years of her broadcasting career with NBC 5 in Fort Worth, Texas. Bobbie joined NBC 5 two weeks before the station went on the air as WBAP-TV. To quote Bobbie, "they poured me in with the foundation." Born in Lafayette, Indiana, Bobbie came to Texas with a degree in broadcasting and psychology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Bobbie did live game shows, commercials and produced and hosted a live talk show for 16 years. She is noted for her celebrity interviews. Bobbie was the first woman in the Southwest to host a general interest talk show and the first broadcaster in the Southwest to present theater and movie reviews on television. Seminary South Shopping Center was the first shopping center of its kind in Fort Worth, starting a trend away from downtown shopping to the suburban area.
