The Henderson

A Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Community Publication

The Henderson, named after our 14th Sheriff, is now published quarterly. Each edition will shine a spotlight on different divisions within our agency and the initiatives we’re working on that carry forward our mission to protect and serve Tarrant County.

This edition of The Henderson comes in the wake of two national tragedies: the shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. Increasingly threats of active shooter scenarios have grown on the public’s mind. These concerns have not gone unnoticed. The mission of the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is to protect by courageously standing between evil and good. With a strong emphasis on training, we prepare ourselves for situations that we hope never materialize. We are also vigilant with the security of Tarrant County buildings, especially in our downtown locations where the flow of people is constant. Our Judicial team conducts security screenings and are ready to respond to any calls for assistance they might receive. And our Intelligence Unit actively mines data, identifying and analyzing critical threat assessments.

Always at your service,

Sheriff Bill E. Waybourn

As social media platforms are increasingly utilized, and in lieu of The Henderson (the TCSO Newsletter), we will be focusing on publicizing our agency news via Facebook and Twitter. We hope you will join us!
