Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) roll out / Basic Introduction of Tarrant County Public Health CQI goals and concepts.
June 2013: CQI Overview presentation included as part of Tarrant County Public Health New Employee Orientation sessions.
July/August 2013: CQI Implementation Training completed by the CQI Committee and ELT and initial department-wide CQI projects proposed and CQI teams established.
November 2013: CQI Core Group established to revise/develop CQI policies/plans and facilitate completion of TCPH CQI projects.
November 2013: FY 2014 Budget and Annual Cost Center established and administrative assistance secured by the LT.
December 2013: Initial TCPH department-wide CQI projects completed successfully
January 2014: CQI Training Subcommittee established to continue to develop and deliver CQI Project training for department-wide implementation in 2014.
September 2014: Comprehensive CQI Project Training on the PDCA cycle and storyboarding (three different modules) completed by 90 percent of the TCPH staff.
September 2014: Establishment of the annual Douglas H. Fabio Health Service Quality Week during the third week of November with two award opportunities, the CQI People’s Choice Award and the CQI Leadership Award.
November 2014: 90 percent of the TCPH programs completed CQI projects and presented storyboards during the inaugural Douglas H. Fabio Health Service Quality Week.
January-March 2015: CQI Training Opportunities Offered: Project Management 101, Data Analysis Basics, and CQI Introductory Training (Modules 1, 2, and 3) for New Employees and Staff requiring make-up training from 2014.
June 2015: Implemented an Electronic Learning Management System to facilitate training at TCPH. Uploaded the 1st CQI training module as the initial test of the system.
July 2015: Established a CQI web presence on the TCPH website.
