COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Fort Worth Zoo on Half-Price Wednesdays

July 6, 2021 - (Tarrant County) – Tarrant County Public Health has partnered with the Fort Worth Zoo to make COVID-19 vaccinations available on half-price Wednesday’s July 7, 14, 28 and August 4 from 9 to 11 a.m. The site will have all three vaccinations, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and Moderna. Children 12 and older are eligible for the vaccination. Organizations interested in having a vaccination site open to the public or for a specific group can sign up at www.Tarrantcounty.com/covidshot.

“We appreciate the Fort Worth Zoo partnering with Tarrant County Public Health to host this pop-up clinic,” Tarrant County Precinct 1 Commissioner Roy Charles Brooks said. “Getting vaccinated allows all of us to enjoy summer traditions like taking the family to the zoo, visiting relatives or going on vacation. Everyone who is eligible should take this opportunity to get a shot.”

TCPH would like to bring a COVID-19 vaccination clinic to businesses, churches and organizations in the community who are interested in hosting a pop-up clinic. It’s easy and free to host a clinic.

“Making the COVID-19 vaccine easy to find will help our community to reclaim summer,” said Vinny Taneja, Director of Public Health for Tarrant County. “Right now, less than 40 percent of the county has received any level of COVID-19 vaccination, which could lead to additional outbreaks.”

TCPH continues to host numerous COVID-19 pop-up clinics in addition to its mass vaccination locations and its traditional vaccine clinics across the County. To find a local vaccine site, the County created a vaccine finder page: www.tarrantcounty.com/vaccinefinder.
