There are a lot of stories to tell about health issues that affect
specific segments of our community. Many of these stories take place
over time. Some are on-going, though occasionally there are successes
worth noting and sharing.
That's what this page is about
- successes we have had in improving and safeguarding the health of
our community. Not only do these stories address important health
challenges we -- as a county -- face, they also provide facts and data
to show what efforts have been made and improvements that have
happened along the way.
Our first story deals with infant mortality in Tarrant County. For
many years, infant death rates in Tarrant County have ranked among the
highest in the state. Fortunately, that has changed -- for the
better!
