Throughout the county, elderly residents often find it difficult to obtain transportation services for routine medical appointments, shopping excursions, banking and other essential trips. In order to preserve their independence and maintain their "quality of life," a segment of the county's senior population is in need of transportation assistance. Tarrant County Precinct 3 has partnered up with the following non-profit transportation services to help senior citizens obtain these necessities.

Call A Ride of Southlake, Inc. (CARS) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation providing free, non-emergency transportation for Southlake seniors and disabled adult citizens for medical, dental, social, business, shopping and personal needs. CARS seeks to encourage senior citizens to be more independent and active in the various recreational and social functions offered in Southlake and nearby areas by providing safe transportation for Southlake seniors. The program is offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
