Our next tax docket is scheduled for February 25, 2021.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the United States has entered unprecedented times. One thing that has not changed is the need for civil courts to be readily available to address legal issues in Tarrant County. The 352nd District Court is open and will continue to serve the people of Tarrant County during this difficult time.
Following directives from the Governor, the Texas Supreme Court, and the Tarrant County Commissioners Court, temporary procedures will be in place until further notice:
1) All jury trials are suspended until April 1, 2021. If you have a trial scheduled in the 352nd District Court between now and then, you will be automatically reset and will receive notice of the new setting. Because of the uncertainty regarding when jury trials will begin again, the court will be lenient in granting motions to continue for trials set after April 1, 2021.
2) The court is otherwise open, and all hearings are still on the docket. Until further notice, all hearings will be held via video conference on Zoom. Article 1, Section 13, of the Texas Constitution mandates that all court proceedings be held in open court. To facilitate public access to proceedings in the 352nd District Court, we have created a YouTube channel where we will provide live broadcasts of all proceedings. The channel may be accessed at the following link:
352nd District Court YouTube channel.
3) We are available to handle all TROs and Injunctions. Temporary Restraining Orders will be considered by submission in chambers with no ex parte communication from either side.
Please call us if you have any questions. We are available to help during this difficult time.
