The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting to fill hundreds of thousands of temporary positions across the country to assist with the 2020 Census count.
Bilingual applicants are needed and are encouraged to apply. Noncitizens will be considered for positions that require proficiency in a particular language if no qualified citizens are available. If selected for a position, noncitizens must present documentation of employment eligibility.
All 2020 Census employees in the 50 states and Washington, D.C., must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
If you choose to read and answer the assessment questions in Spanish, you will be asked to take the English proficiency test to determine how well you can read and understand English. This is a timed test with two sections. The test takes a total of 15 minutes.
