The Criminal Justice Manager oversees the activity of the Criminal Justice Office. A thorough knowledge of criminology and the criminal justice system is needed that includes law enforcement, prosecution, courts, corrections, and the community. The Criminal Justice Manager is responsible for criminal justice system research, planning and coordination; serves as the criminal justice policy advisor to Commissioners Court; prepares the annual criminal justice plan; represents the Commissioners Court at meetings; monitors state/county relations as they relate to criminal justice matters; and participates in the grant process and program development when directed.
