IMPORTANT: Please be advised that on January 1, 2022, in accordance with S.B. 41, the filing fee for Justice Court civil suits will increase from $46.00 to $54.00. On November 10, 2021, the Supreme Court of Texas issued its 44th Emergency Order, which removed the requirement for eviction petitions to state that the plaintiff has reviewed the information about the Texas Eviction Diversion Program. The 44th Emergency Order also revised the contents required to be included on eviction citations.
On November 3, 2021, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs ("TDHCA") announced that it was closing the Texas Eviction Diversion Program to new applications because TDHCA has successfully paid or obligated all funds available to date.
On August 26, 2021, the CDC order temporarily halting evictions in counties with heightened levels of community transmission ended.

*Justice Court 6 follows the same Severe Weather Policy as the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD). If FWISD delays its opening or is closed, Justice Court 6 will do so as well. However, call our office to confirm closure or delay.
1. Use eFile Texas Self-help to file new cases for Small Claim, Eviction, Debt Claim, and Repair and Remedy. You will use a step-by-step guide to answer a series of questions to help prepare and file your court forms online.
2. Use eFile Texas to file new cases and add additional documents to existing Small Claim, Eviction, Debt Claim, along with other types of cases. This service does not provide a step-by-step guide as eFile Texas Self-help. Documents have to be scanned into the program before filing.
Appeals will not be accepted through eFile at this time.
