Early Voting in Person
Lines at early voting polling places are usually shorter and the days and hours are more convenient. Early voting is open to all registered voters, no excuses necessary.
If you are eligible to vote in the election listed below, you are eligible to vote at ANY early voting site on the dates and times shown on the list.

Early Voting by Mail
Tarrant County registered voters are eligible to request and receive a ballot by mail if any of the following conditions prevents them from voting in-person during the early voting period or on election day:
- Expected absence from the County during both the early voting period and on election day. (The ballot must be mailed to an address outside the County.)
- Disability
- 65 years of age or older
- Confinement in jail and not finally convicted of a felony
Applicants may use the official application form, or may send an informal application that includes your name, the address at which you are registered to vote, one of the above conditions for requesting a ballot, the address to which you want the ballot mailed, your party preference (in primary and elections), and your signature. If the ballot is not to be mailed outside the County and not to the address at which you are registered, you must give an explanation as to the address such as nursing home, hospital, etc.
Applications for a ballot by mail may not be submitted more than 60 days before election day and must be received by our office no later than the close of business on the 7th day before election day. If the 7th day before election day falls on a weekend, the deadline is the close of business on the preceding Friday. All voted ballots that are returned on or before election day will be counted. Voted ballots mailed from outside the United States may be counted if clearly postmarked on or before election day and received by the Elections Administrator not later than the fifth day after election day. Completed applications may be submitted by mail, contract or common carrier, or by fax.

Overseas and Military Voters
Overseas citizens and members of the U.S. Uniformed Services are eligible to use a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to request a ballot by mail. Please see our web page for Overseas and Military voters for more information.
Voters with Special Circumstances
Special conditions are available for persons who become hospitalized or suffer a death in the family after the close of the regular application deadline. Specific guidelines must be met to be eligible. Please contact our Early Voting Division at (817) 831-6161 for more information.
