Welcome to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Official website. I am proud to have been elected to serve the people as the 34th Sheriff of Tarrant County. I invite you to explore the various links and pages designed to inform, educate and assist citizens and visitors alike.
The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office is a large, modern, urban law enforcement agency working on the cutting edge of technology and the latest crime-fighting tools and strategies. At the same time we embrace the rich heritage and lore of the Texas lawman. Our combination of reverence for our western history and dedication to be the best of what modern law enforcement has to offer makes this Department one of the best places to work anywhere.

Dedicated to this mission of providing high-quality, cost-effective and accountable service to all residents of Tarrant County, the men and women of this Department rise to the ever-changing challenges of today's society. Both our sworn and non-sworn personnel rise to that challenge daily, and truly deserve the title of "Tarrant County's finest." I am honored and humbled to lead more than 1,200 of these brave men and women, who risk their lives daily to keep this County safe. We all owe each one of them a debt of tremendous gratitude.

As a progressive agency committed to multi-partnerships for solving community problems, we recognize the diversity of the County and strive to build trust with all citizens. We run an open and honest agency, and citizens and critics alike are always welcome to communicate problems, issues, or concerns with me or any of my staff. Serving to support other County agencies, our Department is in a unique position to collaborate and achieve integrated County goals.

We understand and accept the huge task before us. We patrol a county of almost 1,000 square miles, humanely house more than 3,000 inmates in four separate jail facilities, receive and attempt to serve more than 35,000 warrants a year and provide security for more than 60 courtrooms.

Dedicated employees, strong management and continual Command Staff leadership help this organization succeed. With strong support from the citizens of Tarrant County, together we can achieve great things. I thank you for your interest in our Department. Enjoy your time on our website and don't hesitate to contact us at 817-884-3099 or email  Sheriff's Administration for help or further information.
