Tarrant County Archives holds several hundred published books
pertaining to Tarrant County history as well as Texas and U.S.
history. Depending on their rarity and relevance, some are housed in
archival boxes and some on book shelves near the front of the
Archives. Reference books held in the Tarrant County Archives may be
rare and therefore are to be treated as carefully as archival
manuscripts. They may be viewed only in the Archives; no material from
the Archives may be checked out. Some of these materials may be
available for check out from local or regional libraries.
