Webb Historical Society Collection

Summary: The Webb Historical Society donated the following materials pertaining to early Fort Worth. These include a cash book and hotel register for the Mary Merrill Hotel, a day book for the dry goods store McNary and Boothe, and a manuscript about growing up in early Fort Worth by Charles Fred Laue. Based on these records, the Mary Merrill Hotel of Fort Worth appears to have had four floors as the room numbers have 200, 300, and 400 series, yet no listing for the hotel could be found in the 1920 Fort Worth City Directory.
