Summary: This collection consists of nine books relating to Simon W. Freese, local Fort Worth civil/environmental engineer and partner of the firm Hawley, Freese, and Nichols. Three of these volumes are typed copies of Simon W. Freese's business and personal diaries dating from 1922-1987. Two of the books are water supply reports for Fort Worth and Tarrant County, completed by Freese and Nichols, Consulting Engineers. The book A Century in the Works: 100 Years of Progess in Civil and Environmental Engineering, was co-authored by Simon W. Freese. One book and its supplement, co-authored by Simon W. Freese's wife, Eunice Brooks Freese, contains genealogy research of her relatives. The last book is The Swenson Saga and the SMS Ranches, written by Mary Whatley Clarke.
