When livestock get out and away from their enclosures, they can represent a significant traffic or safety hazard.

Livestock includes cattle, horses, donkeys, large flightless birds (Emu or Ostrich), goats, sheep, hogs and pigs.

Because the potential hazard is so high, call 9-1-1 immediately.  Do not call the general information lines or use the general email address.

Sheriff’s deputies (or your local police) will respond to assess the situation, and take appropriate measures to contain or capture the loose livestock.

Livestock does not include dogs, cats or wildlife in unincorporated Tarrant County.  The County does not have regulations on the registration or containment of domestic animals (leash laws).   Wildlife at large is the jurisdiction of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Nuisance pests (skunks, rabbits, squirrels, opossums, snakes, etc.) that need to be removed should be dealt with by a pest removal / control company.
