Welcome to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Operational Bureau. The Operations Bureau consists of five major divisions and approximately 450 employees. You are encouraged to contact any of the divisions listed to assist you with questions concerning our operations. A Chief Deputy administers each division, and is accessible by phone or e-mail.

The Criminal Investigation Division includes the following:

  • Crime Scene
  • Criminal Investigation
  • Internal Affairs
  • Narcotics
  • Sex Offender Registration
  • Victim Assistance
  • Warrants

The Patrol Division handles citizen’s calls for assistance in the unincorporated portions of Tarrant County’s 100 square miles. With offices in the northern and southern parts of the county, the Patrol Division also includes:

  • Livestock Estray Enforcement Program (LEEP)
  • Sheriff's Community-Oriented Policing and Education (SCOPE)
  • Sheriff's Environmental Enforcement Division (SEED)
  • Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Courtesy Patrol
  • Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Unit
  • The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Posse

The Patrol Division also provides law enforcement services on a contract basis for the cities of:

  • Edgecliff Village
  • Haslet

Professional Development and Training Division includes the following:

  • Training Academy
  • Background Investigations

Judicial Services is responsible for providing bailiffs for 60 courtrooms and security at seven County facilities. This Division also operates the Labor Detail program (for community service ordered by the Courts) from the Cold Springs Correction Facility.
