Ground Spraying Scheduled in Unincorporated Tarrant County

August 31, 2016 (Tarrant County, TX) – Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) has confirmed the presence of West Nile Virus in mosquito samples collected in both unincorporated Southeast and Southwest Tarrant County.

The first sample is from the area around Grimsley Gibson Road.  The second sample is from the area around Westridge Road. Weather permitting, TCPH will begin ground spraying efforts in these locations on Friday, September 2, starting at 9 p.m. and concluding by 5 a.m. the following morning. The Grimsley Gibson Road location will also be ground sprayed on Saturday, September 3, as this location has resulted in WNV positive mosquito samples for two consecutive weeks.

In an effort to inform the public, TCPH has issued a notification to neighbors in the area and will continue until the time of spraying. You can find the most current information on our Facebook page or Be Mosquito Free webpage.
