Group sets out roadmap to healthier future
WHAT: Tarrant County Voices for Health
1101 S. Main St., Fort Worth, 76104
What started last year as a meeting of health-related organizations and agencies has coalesced into the Tarrant County Voices for Health, a group involving leaders from local businesses, communities and neighborhoods, along with academicians and health officials who are focused on specific health issues in the community. For the past year, this group has used the Mobilization for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) process to research and identify key health issues in the community and develop plans to address these issues.
At this meeting, findings from community assessments will be presented, along with an interactive goal and strategy development session. Information gathered from this meeting will help define further steps toward implementing a comprehensive community health improvement plan.
Taking part in this meeting will be:
Dr. Lou K. Brewer, Director - Tarrant County Public Health
Roy Charles Brooks, Tarrant County Commissioner - Precinct #1
Larry Tubb, Executive Director andamp; Senior Vice President - Cook Children's Health Care System
Judi Ketchum, Director - Resource Connection of Tarrant County
