    National Minority Health Awareness Month

    April is Minority Health Month. TCPH's Center for Health Equity works to address health equity issues and decrease health disparities in Tarrant County.

    National Public Health Week

    During National Public Health Week, TCPH is proud to display storyboards created by area HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) students that highlight several public health goals aligned with the "Healthiest Nation 2030" initiative. Come to our main campus building and take a look!

    April 7: World Health Day

    World Health Day

    The occasion highlights specific health issues people all over the world face. This year's theme for World Health Day 2016: Beat Diabetes.

    TCPH's Chronic Disease Prevention regularly offers classes on diabetes management.

    TCPH Adult Health Services regularly provides education and testing for HIV and AIDS.

    National Infant Immunization Week

    This annual observance highlights the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases.

    Tarrant County Public Health provides vaccinations on a regular basis for infants as well as school-age children and adults.

    World Meningitis Day

    Meningitis continues to be a major health threat. Tarrant County Public Health has prepared a fact sheet with information about meningitis and what you can do to protect yourself.
