The Tarrant County Juvenile Services' Psychological Services Division
provides a wide array of mental health services to improve outcomes
for juveniles who exhibit serious emotional disturbances and mental
illnesses. This division employs licensed mental health professionals
to provide mental health screenings and assessments, crisis
intervention, suicide prevention, short-term counseling, group
therapy, psychiatric evaluations and emergency care for juveniles who
are detained. In addition, the division contracts with local mental
health service providers for community-based clinical and therapeutic
treatment services as well as comprehensive psychological evaluations
ordered by the juvenile court.
