The Tarrant County Fire Marshal’s Office has three Texas State Certified Fire Inspectors that conduct fire safety inspections of commercial businesses, public buildings and day care centers, as well as foster, adoption and group homes in the unincorporated areas of Tarrant County.
At the present time all fire safety inspections are conducted using the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
Inspections will be performed for foster and adoption homes within Tarrant County municipalities that do not provide that service.
Prior to requesting an inspection, please note that all gas
appliances must have a safety-only inspection by a qualified
technician within the previous year. Additionally, the fire
extinguisher placed in the kitchen area must be inspected by a
licensed fire extinguisher company and have a valid tag.
To request a fire inspection, complete the
an Inspection form and return it to the Tarrant County
Fire Marshal’s Office. Or you can mail or hand-deliver it to 2750
Premier St., Fort Worth, Texas, 76111, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fire Safety Checklist will provide valuable information
for a satisfactory inspection.
Once the request is received, an inspection date will be scheduled within five business days of receipt.
