Felony District Court – Fines and Court Costs

-          If you had costs in a Felony District Court,

-          They must be paid in full at the District Clerks Office, or set up on a payment plan.

How to set up a payment plan:

-          Come to the Tarrant County District Clerk’s Office

-          (This is in the Tim Curry Criminal Justice Center – the same building where your court room is located)

What you will need to bring

-          Setting up the payment plan does not take very long (usually about 15 minutes depending on how many people are in our office)

-          Don’t worry - If you lost your paperwork, we can provide it.

1)   We need some identifying information (social security number, ID number, birthdate)

2)   A good mailing address

3)   A verifiable contact phone number, and 2 verifiable reference numbers (we will have to call these numbers, so please make sure they are correct)

4)   Bring a down payment of any amount if possible
 

Payment Options:

-          Once the payment plan has been set up, you have a few payment options: (Remember these payment options are only for Felony District Court Fines/Court Costs/Attorney fees – this is not for Probation fees that are payable to CSCD)

-          We are open Mon – Fri, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and we accept cash, money order, cashier’s check, and debit or credit card (the card must have your name and you must have a valid ID – All debit/credit card transactions have an additional 3% fee)

-          We will provide a receipt with your current balance after processing the payment

2)      You can mail a cashier’s check or money order to:

-          Make the money order payable to: “Tarrant County District Clerk” or “TCDC”

-          Be sure to include your name and case number on the money order

-          We will not mail a receipt to you unless you provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and a request for the receipt

3)      You can pay with a debit or credit card online or over the phone:

-          The website is www.certifiedpayments.net – use the bureau code – 9662786 – use your case number

-          There will be an online payment confirmation form you can print for your records

-          The phone number is 1-866-549-1010 – use the bureau code – 9662786 – they will ask for your case number/account number

-          the case number and account number is the same thing and will be located at the top left of your payment plan form

-          There will be a confirmation number once the payment is completed that you can keep for your records
