    Tarrant County, Arlington, TX – Tarrant County Commissioner Andy H. Nguyen (Precinct 2) will be sworn into his second term in office on Friday, January 2 at the Arlington Sub-courthouse located at 700 E. Abram Street, Arlington, Texas. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. followed by remarks from the Commissioner and refreshments.


    About Tarrant County Commissioner Andy Nguyen

    Commissioner Nguyen was first elected in 2010 to the Tarrant County Commissioner’s Court becoming the first Asian American elected to serve as a Commissioner of Tarrant County. He recently won his 2014 re-election bid and will continue to serve the residents of Precinct 2 for the next four years.


    Andy’s current board service includes Catholic Charities of Fort Worth, Salvation Army Advisory and Finance Committee, chair of Tarrant County’s eGovernment Committee, co-chair of the Tarrant County IT Steering Committee, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southeast Tarrant Transportation Partnership (SETT), to name a few.


    During his tenure, he has also served on the Board of Directors of United Way Tarrant County, Board of Directors of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Tarrant County Housing Finance Corporation, the Public Employees Benefits Cooperative Board, and the Tarrant County Industrial Board. Andy lives in Arlington with his wife of 16 years and their three children.
