News Media Seminar

You are invited to a one day seminar to get the inside scoop on the day to day operations of the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. The purpose of this seminar is to familiarize the News Media and Public Information Officer’s with the operations of the office. What this seminar will cover:

  • What happens when a death is reported to our office? (Forensic Death Investigations)
  • The Autopsy: Determining the Cause and Manner of Death
  • Types of testing and time frame for completion of test.
  • What happens when testing is completed?
  • Records: Receiving requests for records under the Open Records Act.
  • Tour of the Forensic Science Laboratories
