Citizens Volunteer at Tarrant County

Asking Citizens to share their time and abilities in valuable service to Tarrant County.

Tarrant County government is the perfect environment for sharing your time and talents - while improving the commmunity in which we live.

The Mission

  • Expand and enhance County services by involving volunteers.
  • Increase public awareness of County government - its services and operations.
  • Seek innovative ways to solve county-wide problems through volunteer input.
  • Increase citizen participation in County government.

Volunteer Opportunities

Courthouse Docent
Conduct Tours of our historic Courthouse and provide information about County government and Tarrant County.

Volunteer Guardian
Act as a guardian for incapacitated adults who may need assistance.

Bilingual Volunteer
Assist the Tax Office, Public Health Clinics or other County departments with bilingual services

Clerical Support
Many opportunities exist for clerical assistance within County government.

Departments utilizing volunteer help include:

  • Public Health
  • Sheriff's Department
  • Resource Connection
  • Probate Courts 
  • Texas AgriLIFE Extension Service
  • Human Resources
  • Auto Theft Task Force
  • Medical Examiner's Office
