Safeguarding Our Community's Health

Since its inception in the 1950s, Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) has been a valuable local resource by providing services to all Tarrant County residents aimed at promoting, achieving and maintaining a healthy standard of living. With a client base and scope of services as diverse as the county's population, a dedicated staff of more than 350 public health professionals and annual funding resources totaling approximately $36 million, TCPH services truly touch everyone, every day, everywhere.

Health Observances


November is American Diabetes Month
Tarrant County Public Health offers a Diabetes Awareness and Prevention Curriculum 
for middle school-aged students to help them and their parents become more aware of the disease and impart strategies on how it can be prevented.

Thursday, Nov. 19 is the Great American Smokeout
Tarrant County Public Health regularly provides tobacco control and prevention information for youth and their parents.

Tarrant County Public Health continues to offer seasonal flu shots at these public health centers.
