On this Web page, we have pulled together some seasonal flu resources and created a toolkit that we hope you find useful.
Every year, thousands of people are hospitalized with the flu. Over a period of 31 seasons between 1976 and 2007, estimates of flu-associated deaths in the United States range from a low of about 3,000 to a high of about 49,000 people. Flu season typically runs from October through mid-May, peaking in February, and a flu shot is the best protection. Maximum protection occurs in about two weeks after the shot.
We are relying on your support to help GIVE FLU THE BOOT! in Tarrant County and beyond. We welcome your feedback.
