Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine ([MCV4] Menactra), which contains diphtheria toxoid, and Tdap (or Td) should be administered at the same visit if both vaccines are indicated and available. If simultaneous vaccination is not feasible, both vaccines are inactivated and can be administered at any interval. Visit www.cdc.gov for more information. {Immunizations} Without proper immunizations, both adults and children can become sick, disabled or die as a result of contracting a disease. And many diseases are entirely preventable with the proper vaccinations. Tarrant County Public Health regularly provides immunizations at all of our public health centers. Please check with the public health center for fees. We accept Medicaid for children. Fees for adult immunizations depend on the specific vaccine(s) required. Appointments are not required but immunization hours vary at each public health center. Some centers offer Saturday and evening hours. Please call the center nearest you for immunization times and locations. Immunization records To request immunization records for yourself or your child, contact any of our Public Health Center locations, or call our Vaccine Distribution Center: 817-321-5450. There is a $5 charge per immunization record. As part of our ongoing effort to safeguard the community’s health, Tarrant County Public Health maintains the Tarrant County Immunization Registry (TCIR). The TCIR is an automated system designed to track immunizations and interface with ImmTrac (the State of Texas Registry). ImmTrac is part of a National Immunization Program established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which also set out several guidelines for the storing and processing of immunization data.
