Web Site Awards

2004	The Center for Digital Government named Tarrant County's web portal as a COUNTY PORTAL CATEGORY FINALIST in its annual 2004 Best of the Web contest, a competition among the nation's most innovative and robust city and county government Web sites. The competition attracts hundreds of entries each year. In its ninth year, the Best of the Web grades state, city, county and education Web sites on innovation, Web-based delivery of public services, efficiency, economy, and functionality for improved citizen access.
2005	The AAWM Association, and more particularly its various Award Programs, were designed to supply formal recognition and acknowledge the hard work and dedication that each applicant has put into constructing their web sites using their own brand of style creativity, and content. It is to these sites that we owe our thanks as they are the primary reason that our Award Program is growing so rapidly and gathering so much critical acclaim in the world of the Internet. The AAWM Awards was also created for those Webmasters and Designers who obviously spend a lot of time building and creating their sites, not just to benefit themselves, but to also make a positive contribution to the World Wide Web Community by " Bringing The World Closer To Us."
	As the Internet grows, so do the standards with the websites that occupy it. With new websites entering cyberspace everyday, the demand for bigger and better sites has come. We know this project took time, dedication and a lot of hard work. The judges at DesignFirms.org would like to announce that your site has been found as one of the best on the Internet and hereby award you with the DesignFirms Web Design Award. 	Congratulations! Your site Tarrant County has been selected to receive The American Association Of Webmasters "Gold" Award. 	The Bronze Award represents good layout and design and is user friendly for its visitors. The winning site has scored between 60 and 79 points. Although this site does not always use advanced features, it is a well presented and organized site. The Bronze award site represents at least 70 percent of original content and creativity and provides its visitors with a pleasant presentation of its site or company information. Bronze award winners should be very proud to win this award, for more than 40 percent of applicant's have not reached this level of design.   We see all the hard work and dedication that you have put into constructing your web site and your efforts are well deserved.
