Recycling Program
Saving Space and Reducing Waste {Recycle - Saving Space and Reducing Waste} The Tarrant County Records Destruction and Recycling Program (RDRP) was established in August 1993 by the County Clerk's Office as a means of providing environmentally responsible destruction and recycling of old County records. The recycling program has become a model for the region and continues to expand, due in part to it innovative use of inmate and work release labor. The recycling center now destroys and recycles records for many county offices, cities and school districts in the North Texas region and throughout the state, as well as processing the office paper from the County's office recycling program. In its 4 years of operations, the program has recycled over 2 million pounds of paper products and generated revenues of over $175,000 on the sale of the paper. |
