Tarrant County Early Voting to begin October 18th for General Election

 
Tarrant County will hold an election Tuesday, November 2, 2010 for the purpose of electing federal, state, district, and county officers.  In addition, the ballot will include special elections in the Cities of Azle, Benbrook, Forest Hill, Haltom City, Haslet, Keller, Kennedale, Richland Hills, Roanoke, and Watauga.
 
Early Voting by personal appearance in Tarrant County for the November 2, 2010 General Election will begin on Monday, October 18th and continue through Friday, October 29th.
 
There are 48 locations throughout the county where registered voters of Tarrant County may cast early ballots. These locations and the full early voting schedule are available on the Tarrant County Elections website located at www.tarrantcounty.com/elections.
 
Several early voting sites have been moved, including those listed below:

Also included in the list of early voting sites are 3 new locations including the Haslet Public Library, Richland Hills Community Center, and Watauga City Hall. 
 
Part-time early voting sites (open less than the full early voting period) will be opened at 9 colleges and universities in Tarrant County.
 
Eligible voters of Tarrant County may cast an early ballot at ANY of the 48 early voting sites. In addition, early voting in Texas is “excuse free” - early voters do not need to provide any reason or excuse for voting early. Early voting is for any registered voter who would like to cast his or her ballot prior to election day.
 
Identification is required in order to vote early or on election day.  Voters should be prepared to show their voter registration certificate or some other type of identification before voting.
 
Other elections information such as sample ballots, early voting locations, election day polling places, and important dates pertaining to the upcoming election are available on the Tarrant County Elections website located at www.tarrantcounty.com/elections.
