Boat registration now available at County Tax Offices
As the July 4th weekend approaches, long lines are forming at the local Texas Parks and Wildlife Office as people wait to register their boats and other watercraft. But this year, boaters have another option.
Tarrant County Tax Assessor - Collector Betsy Price now offers the ability to title, license or renew boat licenses and titles at any of the eight Tax Offices across the county.
"We are offering this service to help the public with efficient and speedy one-stop locations for their boat registrations and titles,' said Price. "When you come to do your trailer renewal or transfer you can also do your boat transaction."
The Tax Office accepts cash or credit cards, but no checks. Currently only the Lake Worth Office and the Downtown location can process credit cards but all other locations should have this function within 2 weeks. Tax Offices are located in all seven Tarrant County Subcourthouses and in the County Administration Building in Downtown Fort Worth.
For more information about boat registration, please call the Tax Office information number, at 817-884-1100. Media seeking additional information about this news release should call Betsy Price, Tax Assessor-Collector, at 817-884-1106.
