Welcome to the Tarrant County Archives

Our mission is to collect, preserve, and offer for research documents which are a record of the history of Tarrant County. To give a hint of the variety of our holdings, explore the various options on the sidebar to the left. We house more than 500 named collections in a 9,000 square foot facility located on the fifth floor of the Tarrant County Plaza Building. The Tarrant County Archivist and an all volunteer staff stand ready to help you with your historical research needs.

In the search box to your left, if you wish to search only the Tarrant County Archives E-Archives site, start with the term e-archives then add your topic of interest. There is no need to use quotation marks. For example:

There is no need to log in or register to use the Tarrant County E-Archives. Copies in the Archives are 50 cents per page cash or check.
