Live a More Colorful Life! is an initiative by Tarrant County
Public Health to educate consumers about the benefits of incorporating
a wide and colorful array of fruits and vegetables into their daily
diets. This initiative is designed to help reduce the obesity rates in Tarrant County.
On this web page you'll find easy-to-access information, including
tips for selecting fresh fruits and vegetables, easy recipes from
nutritionists, as well as ongoing features highlighting specific
produce that is in-season locally.

Find fresh, affordable fruits and vegetables twice a month at “Gardens on the Go.” Pick up a large bag of seasonal fresh produce for just $5 a bag on select Saturdays of the month at these locations:

A typical bag might include 4 apples, a pound of bananas, 2 grapefruit, 4 oranges, a pound of potatoes, a pound of tomatoes but the selection will be seasonal.

Because there are food deserts located throughout Tarrant County, Healthy Tarrant County Collaboration has identified the following grocery stores as having healthy food options in those food deserts in east and southeast Fort Worth:
