The following cities have established Warming Stations for residents in need of respite from the cold and/or power to recharge electronics.
The City of Arlington
The City of Arlington and Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau have partnered with local hotels to provide special rates for residents impacted by the ongoing winter storm. For the latest visit: Special Hotel Rates Available for Residents Impacted by Winter Storm
The City of Grand Prairie
Grand Prairie residents without power are invited to the Ruthe Jackson Center, 3113 S. Carrier Parkway, to warm up. The facility will open at 7 p.m. and remain open 24/7 until weather improves. Masks and social distancing inside the facility will be required. If the facility reaches capacity, visits will be limited to two hours.
PLEASE NOTE:
The City of Kennedale
The Community Center (at the Kennedale Public Library at 316 W 3rd Street) if open for people needing a warming station and/or a place to charge phones, etc.
If residents would like to bring cots, pillows, blankets, or sleeping bags for comfort or sleeping, please feel free to do so.
The City of Mansfield
The City has four warming centers for residents without power:
For information call 817-728-3609. These centers serve as a temporary warming area for residents to get out of the cold and charge their cell phones. They are not overnight facilities.
